Palms Australia - Have Spare Time? Want To Make A Difference? Volunteer for a job that will make that difference! Palms Australia is seeking volunteers to work in their national office at Glebe. Our most valued office volunteers have been those who are able to draw on their lifetime of experience. There Be Dragons -. A story of love and forgiveness, it traces the lives of two young men, Josemaría Escrivá (Charlie Cox) and Manolo Torres (Wes Bentley). Childhood friends, they are separated by the political upheaval of pre-war Spain to find themselves on opposite sides as war erupts - it is not to be missed. Following the successful premiere of 'There Be Dragons' directed by Roland Joffe ('The Mission' and 'The Killing Fields') a second screening will be held on Saturday, 25 February 2012 at 7.30pm, Roxy Theatre, 101 Eton Road, Lindfield. Volunteering Opportunity with Compeer - Special Work of the St Vincent de Paul Society matching volunteers in one-on-one friendship with people living with a mental illness, making a real difference to their quality of life and assisting to destigmatise mental illness. Volunteers are asked to spend just an hour a week or 2 hours a fortnight for at least 12 months engaging in simple friendly activities such as having coffee or going for a walk.
